Infrared Atmospheric Observations and related Laboratory Experiments

The Infrared Atmospheric Observations and related Laboratory Experiments Team belongs to the division Sources & sinks of atmospheric constituents at the Royal Belgian Institute of Space Aeronomy (BIRA-IASB) Brussels.

Their activities include:

  • Remote sensing of the trace gases present in the atmosphere from ground and space; this includes the development of the instruments and required tools for the spectral analysis.
  • Analysis and validation of satellite measurements
  • Supporting laboratory spectroscopy measurements
  • Geophysical interpretation of the trace gases observations, including long range transport studies
  • Infrared data pages

Supported by the BIRA-IASB engineering team.
